A couple weeks ago, Anna and James married on a beautiful horse farm in the Shenandoah Valley. The bride slipped into her dress with her excited bridesmaids around her, looking into an antique mirror that was a gift from her parents earlier that day. Their families and friends gathered in front of the gazebo to witness the ceremony officiated by Anna’s brother, who also served as one of James’ groomsmen. Later that evening, there were tearful toasts, dancing led by the groom himself, the ever popular JMU group photo, and a bubbly send-off.
This wedding was especially exciting for me because Anna is my cousin and we share that JMU pride and a love of cats. 🙂 It also gave me the chance to get to know James a little better during our meeting and engagement session (at JMU of course). He is as sweet as all the family says, genuinely open on any subject you ask him, and obviously loves Anna.
One of the many things that I love about these photos is the true joy ever present on their day — from Anna’s smile as her mom laced up her gown in the bridal suite to James glancing over at her as they become husband and wife. Congratulations to the newlyweds and may they live and love #haboleyeverafter!
