Savana and Brady married over Memorial Day weekend in a beautiful, shoreside wedding ceremony at Lake Anna. They both got ready at The Seay Point House which was abuzz with wedding day activity when I arrived — family making hors d’oeuvres in the kitchen, the bride and her bridemaids getting hair and makeup in the great room, and the groom’s party tucked away in the media room. After Savana slipped into her lace gown with a gorgeous blush underlay and plunging back, she met Brady under a tree for their first touch. They shared a prayer while holding hands, exchanged letters, and the bride shed a few tears as her groom smiled.
Just a couple hours later, they walked down the aisle and said I do. I loved looking back through all the special parts of their ceremony — their pastor brought Brady’s favorite hat for him to wear, their parents joined them under the arbor, and just today I noticed that Savana’s dad held her hand tight as they walked down the aisle. These two are all about family and so it was fitting that their parents, brothers, sisters, niece, and nephews all stood by them during the ceremony.
Ever so fortunately, the rain held off until minutes before the newly wedded couple made their entrance into their tented reception! Whew! They held each other during their first dance with rain pouring down in the background and wind whipping through the tent. Savana’s reaction is priceless! After cake and cake-to-the-face, they danced the night away under the lights and lanterns. I’m so happy to have met these two and shared in their wedding day! Congratulations to Savana and Brady!
